This independent software consultant (yes, we’re related… he’s my husband!) had been blogging on Blogger for years, and his main online presence was on LinkedIn. He decided to improve his professional online presence with a website for his blog, to capture leads, and to be able to analyze traffic to his site.
Some Features & Design Considerations
As with all my custom websites, this one is mobile & tablet responsive and was built with on-page SEO (proper H1, H2 tags, image compression, tagging, etc.) It was designed for the optimal user experience with readability and conversion in mind.
Because Eric is an independent consultant, I designed his website to establish his credibility, build trust, and prompt visitors to take action - either subscribing to his blog, or contacting him to discuss working together. His expertise and credentials are highlighted in various places, examples of his work are featured, and even some personal tidbits about him to help clients see him as a real person they can connect with.
Strategically placed buttons and calls to action (CTAs) prompt visitors to subscribe to his blog, or reach out to discuss working together.
