Squarespace Website Transferred From Wordpress

Changing Hearts Farm Sanctuary

This non-profit was unhappy with the high cost and slow process of having their Wordpress website updated. I transferred their site to Squarespace, allowing them to easily handle maintenance on their own!

Some Features & Design Considerations

As with all my custom websites, this one is mobile & tablet responsive and was built with on-page SEO (proper H1, H2 tags, image compression, tagging, etc.)

It’s a large site with 20+ pages plus a blog, as well as Acuity Scheduling for customers to book appointments to visit the sanctuary. I added their Instagram feed to the footer to allow visitors to see updates and keep the content fresh.

They have two main calls to action (CTA’s); one to donate, and one to visit. Regarding donations, they were moving from a donation processing service to simply using PayPal in order to reduce expenses, so I created a PayPal donation form with their branding, and integrated it into their website.

Regarding visits, they have a new Short Term Rental to raise funds for the sanctuary, so the Visit page leads to an Acuity scheduling form to book a tour, or a to new website for their new Tiny House vacation rental. This vacation rental website is built using Lodgify, purpose-built vacation rental booking software.

The SEO tweaks I implemented have resulted in more visitors to their website, and they appreciate the insight provided by the analytics that come with their Squarespace website.
